Obituary of Elsie Isbill

It is with sadness that the family of Elsie Jane Isbill announce her passing which occurred peacefully with her family at her side, on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at her home. She was born in Kiersteadville, NB, on August 30, 1955, a daughter of Rita (Roberts) Munro and the late Joseph Munro.

We can all agree that Elsie’s greatest joy would be her grandchildren. You could always find her in the stands at any of her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was always on the move, from the Upper Midland Road to the Lower Midland Road. She was often referred to as speedy Elsie. She always looked forward to the fall for the Belleisle Harvest Auction. Lastly you could always count on Mom and Dad ending their week together on their Sunday drive.

Elsie is survived by her husband John Isbill of 50 years; daughters: Shelley (Ben) Grant of Hatfield Point, NB, Kim (Andrew Turnbull) Kilpatrick of Hampton, NB; grandchildren: Brandon Grant (Jamie), Erika Grant (Alec), Karli Kilpatrick, Casey Kilpatrick, Megan Kilpatrick; mother-in-law Evelyn Isbill; sisters: Ina (Art) Ressler of Medicine Hat, AB, Ella Cormier of French Village, Doris (Jim) Proctor of Kiersteadville, Ruth (Fred Adame) Munro of Hampton, Brenda (Layton) Ness of Belleisle Creek, Vera Munro of Kiersteadville; brothers: Joe (Phyllis) Munro of Upper Quaco, Donnie (Barbara) Munro of Belleisle Creek, Vernon (Joyce) Munro of Midland, Norman Munro of Kiersteadville, Ronnie (Lorna) Munro of Kiersteadville, Calvin Munro of Kiersteadville, Larry (Janet) Munro of Midland; sister-in-law Deborah Harper (Stephen) and Sharon Isbill; brother-in-law Ken Isbill (Lillian); along with several nieces, nephews and extended family.  In addition to her father, she was also predeceased by her father-in-law Ernest Isbill; and son-in-law Carl Kilpatrick.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Christian Mackin, Virginia and all the other nurses from the Extra Mural for the wonderful care.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, where visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11:00AM from the Midland Baptist Church.  Interment will take place at Midland Cemetery in the spring.
